I wrote this poem after watching this video.

I get lost in the moment

heart tremble in the sight of you

No longer had a glimpse of love, just the taste of belonging in truth

My lungs breathes and falls into place

Let the grass roots grow between your toes

Through each footsteps a note is made

A song sang from deep inside

Let it rumble through the night sky and carry deep into your soul

Let it grow till it bleeds through your eardrums

A passion of us touching through a firewall

Fell in the cracks of forever history engraved along our own path

Time goes by, but you stand still, staring at me, a long lost love

And I must admit this was meant to be

As I gasp, it’s hard to believe I’ve only driven in a dream…

To you...

the way the sun hit her skin; Mmm…I love the way she wore summer
starry nights swirl along her lips; let it kiss the moon
cruising along paved moments, as her fingertips dances through the wind
slipping away as the harmony plays, hmm…those pretty thoughts
sparkling eyes; I could see her soul
she’s beautiful; like she stepped out of a dream
loved her flaws; every crease, freckles, in between
gently day dreaming; painted a picture so perfect
a fantasy worth framing
she plays through my mind; caught up in my own thoughts
Mmm…she’s poetry
Let the words slip right out of me; every verse, rhymes, and reason
The means to everything I believe in; let me breathe
Cape Diem; she’s the moment
…But only if she knew it

Dialogue

Guy: I remembered the words that was said that night, it was in mumble but I heard everything in perfect harmony, it ended with a “Goodbye”

Girl: The thoughts that crossed my mind after it all, the next day seemed like any other, but I wonder if you would remember

Guy: There are days when it seem like we were just memories, the times we shared were more dreamlike than anything

Girl: It was cold that night, yes, the day we were first met

Guy: You said this was the right timing and our dialogue was flawless

Girl: But I knew it could be a beginning to nights of heartaches

Both: We knew the chances…

Girl: Getting lost in your thoughts as I explore along each sentence you spoke

Guy: When you left, everything seemed to slow down

Girl: The world stopped spinning…well, my world

Guy: But is it true though? I heard you found happiness

Girl: Head you found love, a partner to your doings

Guy: If I said I was happy for you, I’ll be lying…I find myself looking for you at places we once knew

Both: But then…

Girl: It quickly fades and I’m just left to remember

Guy: You had your hair tied back; arms to the side as you walked back, disappearing…

Girl: Held hands, my fingers placed perfectly into yours…now its missing space

Guy: Sweaty palms on that first day, our life lines curved in sync

Girl: It felt…right, but who would’ve thought that “what was” would become just that

Guy: There are days I wished I could’ve said something for you to turn back

Girl: But I didn’t…kept my mouth closed because I knew…

Both: This had to end with a “Goodbye”

Taught to settle our souls in front of others, we were always dreamers,

shook by society to be part of reality, they said these powers were not real

…that when we were saving lives, it was all imaginary

There was a moment when we thought we had the power to do it all

Never thought about drinking or partying, just fighting evil and making friends

Our power was never measured, it was played…

Screamed for us to GROW UP!

We all started off having super powers, but somewhere in between growing up…

…we lost it
